Determinantes de la oferta turística en las economías APEC (1995-2020)

Resumen

El objetivo de este artículo es analizar de qué manera las variables, precios e ingresos turísticos, explican el
comportamiento de la oferta turística en las economías del Foro de Cooperación Económica Asía – Pacífico
(APEC) durante el periodo 1995 - 2020, ya que esta región posee gran relevancia económica; en 2019 sus países
miembros aportaron el 55.97% al Producto Interno Bruto Turístico Global (WTTC, 2022a). Para este efecto se
utiliza la metodología econométrica a través de un Modelo de Grupo de Medias Agrupadas, desde la perspectiva
de la economía del turismo con enfoque en la oferta turística. Los resultados muestran que ambas variables,
precios e ingresos turísticos, afectan de manera positiva la oferta turística, siendo los precios turísticos los que
generan un impacto mayor.
