In this work, the effect of a balanced diet, physical activity and medical care on childhood obesity is studied, 2018. There are various theories that are related to the condition and most of them indicate that obesity is related to food regulation, which depends on the behavior of the minor and is determined by social interaction, which in turn, guides their behavior towards habits that benet or harm their health. The results of the econometric analysis with cross-sectional data do not show the expected results, that is, there is a positive relationship between the independent variables and obesity. The programs have been insufcient to achieve the objective of reducing obesity in minors. For this reason, it is necessary to propose a public policy that can address the problem, which must be a comprehensive policy that takes into account more elements that contribute to reducing obesity in children.
