he objective of this work is to determine the efficiency of the main oil-producing countries in the commercialization area during the 2010-2017 period, based on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) methodology. A model with variable retums to scale and output orientation is used and bootstrap statistic was applied to give the model robustness. The results show that in general, no country was efficient. However, the United Kingdom had the highest levels of efficiency, on the opposite side, there is Brazil with very low values in this indicator. lt is concluded that in general, in terms of efficiency, there was not an adequate use of the resources of the oil sector in the area of global marketing. lt is recommended to establish strategies in the sector to avoid economic vulnerability. The impact of these studies is that, through the results obtained, proposals can be made to improve the efficiency levels of the oil industry.
