Abstract

This paper studies the changes of the Mexican productive structure in relation to the productive factors' employment and their productivity between 1950 and 1960, by means ofthe results oftwo indicators helpful to characterise the "growth regime" that the economy follows a particular period. The Input-Output model frames the construction of such indicators as well as the interpretation of the results. The main component of the database are the 1950 and 1960 Input-Output tables disaggregated into 30 homogeneous industries.
