Abstract

This article presents an analysis on the impacts for Mexico derived from its participation in the recent transpacic
economic integration processes, which are best appreciated in its economic, commercial and investment
relations with the main countries that lead two of the largest mega trade agreements in the world, the USMCA
and the RCEP: the United States of America and China. It is found that there is greater integration with the
USMCA and therefore a greater impact on trade and investment, but that Mexico ́s integration in the RCEP,
however informal, grows marginally from the entry into force of the agreement and is presented an additional
option for its transpacic integration into that region.
